I am the stay at home mother of two, who, after two years of moping around in pajamas and having to say things like ‘Don’t lick that,’ ‘Get your finger out of there!’ and pulling Cheerios out of various orifices realized that I desperately needed a hobby. I tried couponing – I still do it out of necessity, but I just don’t have it in me to be that extreme or excited about newsprint and paper cuts. Then I discovered the world of subsisting – natural cheap fixes and replacements for nearly everything we use on a regular basis, and the rewarding benefits of eating real home made unprocessed food that isn’t fancy or expensive. Here you will find my experiments and what I learn, both the things that work, and those that well.. not so much.
